One Book One Pen Project

ONE BOOK ONE PEN FOUNDATION is a project voluntarily initiated by our grassroots partners at the www.dadaabcamps.com team with the help of Refugee Communities in Dadaab Refugee Camps and supported by Voices of Africa. The aim of the project is to help refugees to serve their fellow new influx refugees in the outskirts of Dadaab Refugee complex (Kambios, Ifo2 and ifo3) who were affected by the deadly famine in Somalia late 2011.The project is intended to cover the primary needs for education such as books and pens.

The team started creating awareness and collecting books and pens with in the camps and are now asking all well-wishers outside the Dadaab region to donate to support the children in need. We are eager to hear from our readers and any willing person to help the young innocent generation start a new life prior to their former life.

As you know education transforms a person to live a better life in the future and our main concern is to create basic education through voluntary to the new arrivals. Voices of Africa wants to support the grassroots efforts of the refugee community to provide services for their own. And the beginning of Information and Communications technology is indeed one book and one pen!
